Autonomous Systems using AssuredCode-C
New Autonomous Systems
The diagram below illustrates a greenfield autonomous architecture designed around AssuredCode-C’s deterministic runtime code generation capabilities. Rather than requiring every possible response to be developed and deployed in advance, the controller selects among three execution paths: resident functions for routine or safety-critical operations, a verified executable cache for previously generated behaviors, and AssuredCode-C for requirements that cannot be satisfied by an existing implementation.
When new behavior is required, the controller constructs a bounded specification and submits it to AssuredCode-C for generation. The resulting implementation undergoes verification and controlled blue-green deployment, including shadow testing before promotion. Verified implementations may subsequently be retained for reuse, reducing unnecessary regeneration. The controller maintains operational authority throughout, including approval, override, and rollback, while independent safety functions remain available.
Extending Existing Systems
The diagram below illustrates how AssuredCode-C can extend an existing autonomous system by providing dynamically generated executable behavior when preconfigured responses are insufficient. Sensors continuously collect telemetry and environmental data, which are evaluated by the system’s controller or decision-support model. When an appropriate preconfigured response is available, the controller selects it for execution through the existing runtime. When no suitable response exists, the controller constructs a specification using a qualified template, incorporating the required behavior, operational parameters, and safety constraints.
The specification is submitted to AssuredCode-C, which deterministically generates the required executable logic. Following verification and controlled deployment, the new behavior becomes available for execution under the controller’s authority. This hybrid architecture preserves existing, validated capabilities while extending the system’s ability to respond to previously unanticipated conditions, without requiring every possible response to be developed and deployed in advance.
